IMMERSE Fest Orlando: The Best Way to Explore Downtown

IMMERSE Fest is back the weekend of February 21-23rd and it is the best way to experience downtown Orlando!

What is IMMERSE Fest?

IMMERSE Fest is an annual local cultural and interactive arts experience that spans blocks downtown. You’ll see the work of over 1,000 creatives, singers, dancers, designers, and artists and experience hundreds of performances each night.

IMMERSE Fest goes from 5-11PM along Orange Ave south of Central Ave down to Anderson St (Dr. Philips Center), activating Pine Street and Church Street. New this year, an IMMERSE Fest Market on Magnolia Ave between Central and Church! There will be a special show happening at Lake Eola on Sunday, the 23rd around 1PM as well.

What Shows and Experiences are There?

There are so many activities to do as you walk along Orange Ave. If you start on Pine St., you will be able to see art installations and a very special restoration of the iconic Merita Bread sign which has been restored and on loan from the Morse Museum. Walk along the Avenue for the Massey Stage where you just might catch The Blue Man Group!

Head to City Hall where you’ll see a beautiful lighted hearts installation in partnership with Advent Health. Don’t miss out the photo op with your loved ones!

The main stage is located right in front of the Dr. Phillips Center. You’ll also see the most interactive and magical light experience brought to us by OUC. Here you can power on a cloud or even make a butterfly flap it’s wings by swinging! Slide down a colorful unicorn and experience all that IMMERSE Fest has to offer. Check the schedule below to see the times as well as the IMMERSE Fest website for parking and travel.

This experience is absolutely family-friendly, but remember it is an evening event that goes as late as 11 PM. My recommendation for families like ours is go early! You’ll be able to enjoy so much of this event before bedtime. Families should check out the Orlando Science Center’s experiences as well as Lake Eola on Sunday, the 23rd.

There will be street closures happening, so plan accordingly. Your best bet is to either take e-bikes located around downtown or park in a nearby parking garage. You can find the garages here. The closest garages to IMMERSE are:

Parking on the north side of the event can be helpful too. You’ll walk a little bit, but you’ll encounter less traffic. Those garages are

You can even reserve and pre-pay for a parking garage space in advance of major downtown events.
